Where is the shopping cart?
I do not have an online shopping cart, I like to discuss your order with you to make sure it is what you want/need and that I can fulfill it within your time line and budget. So please email Kathy at info@kathystanczak.ca to place an order or make an inquiry.
How do I place an order?
If you are interested in ordering anything from my site, please email me at info@kathystanczak.ca with your request. I will try to respond to you within 24 hours (unless I am away on vacation - this will be posted on my EMAIL page). If you don't hear back from me, please email again, as I have learned through experience that sometimes email just goes missing and never reaches their final destination.
If I don't hear back from you, I will email again also.
How do I order Custom Alphabet Art?
To order an Alphabet Art print, email me with the name or word that you would like to appear in Alphabet Art, along with any additional text (like first names, special dates, "welcome to our home', etc) that you would like to appear either above and/or below your Alphabet Art. There are many examples on my ALPHABET ART page. If there is a style that you prefer, please refer to it as the SMITH example or OSBORNE example, etc. Some of those styles were suggested by customers, so don't be afraid to ask for something new either.
Do you charge by the letter?
No, I charge by the size of your print. The cost is $30 for a print up to 11x14 inches, and $35 for anything larger, up to 12x36 inches.
However, I will also sell individual letters if you prefer. They are available in any size from 4x6 to 8x10.
Can I see how it will look before I have to pay?
Yes, once I receive your request, I will email you back with a proof of your name as Alphabet Art, in a pleasing arrangement with letters of my choosing. Once you receive this proof, you can request any changes and I will email again with a new proof until it is just right. You will not be billed until I have your final approval on the proof and we are ready for printing.
What size should I get?
You can let me know the size of the print that you are interested in, but depending on the length of your word, I may suggest a different size for you.
Three and four letter names are well suited to an 8x10 or 11x14 inch print. If you prefer a less square look, I can also print it to fit my 7x15 inch frame, 9x15 inch float frame or 8x20 inch frame. I can add a personal photo or heart or flower photo from my own collection to the beginning or end of these short names to fill the frame better.
Five to seven letter names are well suited to the 7x15 inch frame which holds a 5x12 inch print. These names will also fit the 9x15 inch float frame or the 8x20 inch frame.
Eight or more letter names are best suited to the 8x20 inch frame or larger. I can print up to a maximum of 12x36 inches.
However, you are not at all restricted to the above sizes, they are just suggestions and I will always send you a proof with the dimensions that you want, so you can see how it will look in your frame.
Do I have to choose the letters?
No, once I receive your request, I will email you back with a proof of your name as Alphabet Art, in a pleasing arrangement of letters of my choosing. Once you receive this proof, you can request any changes and I will email again with a new proof until it is just right. You will not be billed until I have your final approval on the proof and we are ready for printing.
Can I choose my own letters?
Yes, you are more than welcome to choose your own letters. However, my letters are not arranged alphabetically, so you will have to scroll through the sample names and pick the ones you like. You can refer to them as the S in SMITH or the D in DREAM, for example.
Do you have themed letters?
Yes, I have some themed letters to choose from. I have several sports, nature, maritime, musical and farm themed letters. You can see them on my THEMED LETTERS page. If you tell me a little about your interests or those of the recipient of your Alphabet Art, I can try to incorporate certain letters for you to make it that much more personal.
How do I incorporate a personal photo?
Just email the photo to me and refer to the examples on my ALPHABET ART page so I know where you would like the photo to appear. The photograph should have been taken by you or you should have permission from the photographer to use the photo. Professional wedding photographs or school photographs cannot be used, that would be a violation of the photographer's copyright.
Can I frame it myself?
Yes, in fact I encourage it. If you buy your own frame, in the size and color and finish that you prefer, simply open up the back, take out the paper or mat that comes inside and measure that paper. That will be the dimensions of your Alphabet Art and I will print your piece to fit exactly without need of a mat. I can print any size up to a maximum of 12x36 inches and I will email a proof to you at your desired size so you can see how it will look in your frame before you place your order.
Where can I find the right size frame?
Rectangular shaped frames are not as easy to come by. I have to order my 7x15 inch frames custom made for me, but you can find 8x20, 10x20 and 12x36 inch frames out there. Try Walmart or Michaels or Hobby Lobby for the largest selection. Check where the Collage frames are sold and remember you will be removing the mat that comes inside.
Many of my customers also have their Alphabet Art custom framed. In that case, you can determine the length of your print based on the wall space that you have and I will print your piece to your specifications.
Will you sell me the Digital File so I can print it myself?
Yes, I will sell Digital Files, but only for Custom Alphabet Art orders or Custom Digital Art, not Ready Made Alphabet Art (like FAMILY, LOVE, etc) nor Fine Art Photographs. Your file will need to be properly sized, so you should have your frame first. And, if you need a large print (larger than 11x14 inches) you will have to find a printing place that can accommodate you. Some of my customers use the digital files to have their Digital Art printed on canvas in their home town, or printed on note cards. Puchasing the digital file only will also save you money and time since I won't have to ship the print to you. This has proved useful for my customers on a tight time line.
Can I make changes to a Fine Art Photograph?
Yes, if you would prefer your photograph to have a vertical format rather than horizontal, or vice versa, please ask as I may already have the same photo in both versions. You can also request any Fine Art Photograph to be converted to black and white or sepia.
Whatever changes you would like, I will email you first with a proof of how the print will look before requesting payment.
